Last time in re:publica in the GIG makerspace, Jaspreet showed the 500-year-old block printing techniques used by the Kings of India by creating natural colours out of left-over food and then using wooden blocks to print on the fort walls, which lasted forever.

This time with two speakers from Gujrat India, Jaspreet will present hand-made items using bioplastics and other eco-friendly materials in the GIG maker space. It will be a workshop for 1 hour in which participants will see how beautifully and professionally items can be made by hand. Once they are finished, it will be difficult to differentiate whether the items are created with a machine or by hand.

We will bring items and other materials and we will give a live demo to our audience by creating the items from beginning. We will use materials like harder, pearl color kit, dyed stones, foil sheet, dry flowers, golden pigments, bubble buster, resin cleanser, dairy mold, clay etc. and create items like photo frames, diaries, hand made clock, cups etc. I

We're sure participants will have fun and be surprised to see how items that can be crafted by hand look like they could have come from a machine.
