#rp26 speaker Henning Besser: How does something like Deichkind work?

What role does embracing areas of tension play, and the hope that our differences are our strength? What does it take to endure this? How can the concept of connection and support help us? Henning Besser, aka La Perla, is the Ted Lasso of Deichkind. To him, Deichkind is a concept in the guise of a pop group that he came up with and for which he develops stage performances with his team or contributes ideas for music videos. In between, he also occasionally takes on the role of the band’s manager. Henning once used to be on stage with the band, but today he tends to stay out of sight in the background – seeing artistic work as research that doesn’t present its findings in a white paper, but rather makes them tangible through a concert experience.
