Lea Gimpel

Lea is the Director of Policy and AI Lead at the Digital Public Goods Alliance (DPGA). The DPGA is a multi-stakeholder initiative with a mission to accelerate the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by facilitating the discovery, development, use of, and investment in digital public goods. Prior to her current role, Lea co-led the open-source AI flagship program "FAIR Forward - Artificial Intelligence for All" of the German development cooperation agency GIZ. She's a digital development professional with more than 14 years of experience and a firm belief that digital technologies can benefit people when designed, regulated, and governed responsibly.
