The re:publica Berlin is a central meeting point for everyone who wants not only to consume film, series, games and XR, but to actively shape them. With the programme special ON SCREEN, we are once again dedicating the second #rp26 day to moving images and the future of audiovisual media! 

 

This is where fresh collaborations emerge at the intersections of different disciplines, and current trends are discussed and developed further. ON SCREEN thus sees itself as a compass for all those who work at the interface of audiovisual media, technology, politics and regulation and want to actively shape the future of the industry.

How will we consume and produce audiovisual content in the future? Who has the best strategy in the fiercely competitive attention market? And how can different media disciplines learn from one another?

On 19 May 2026, leading industry experts discussed these questions on stage and in workshop formats. There also was an interactive exhibition area on the Berlin-Brandenburg media location and joint networking in the evening.
