Mika Amsterdam

Born in the late 80s of the last century, Mika Amsterdam grew up

in the countryside. He is now 1.85 meters tall and lives and works

in Berlin.

In 2011 he founded the art pop band U3000, which played many, many club concerts and festivals in Germany and Europe in the following years and existed until 2019. Mika Amsterdam is also a live musician and composes and produces for theater and video productions (e.g. Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, Volksbühne Berlin, Schauspielhaus Hannover, HMT Rostock, Gisbert zu Knyphausen, Wax Legs, Cheap Wedding). From time to time Mika Amsterdam can be seen as a performer and actor. (e.g. GUNDERMANN, 2018, directed by A. Dresen, FictionJustFiction, Bogotá 2022, directed by F. Banholzer). Amsterdam as well works as a coach for film productions, coaching singing and arranging music. He leads two choirs (Chore Amore, Chor RAW) in Berlin, where he arranges most of the songs. Together with Hanna Plass he founded the live karaoke sing along performance SingSisySing (www.singsisysing.de)

Mika Amsterdam has been making music since the 90s. Guitar, trumpet, drums, piano, indie, punk, songwriter, theater and rap.
